How many kinds of structural adhesives are there?

1. Epoxy Structural Adhesive

Relatively low elongation; Good high temperature resistance-chemical stability at 121℃ or even 204℃; Excellent chemical resistance; Good adhesion to porous substrate; Good adhesion to most materials, but the surface must be clean.

2. Polyurethane structural adhesive

Very high elongation (> 100%) can be obtained, and the properties of structural adhesive are still maintained; Excellent performance of bonding thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics; Can not form a lasting bond to untreated metal; Able to work at temperatures as high as 120℃.

3, anaerobic adhesive structural adhesive

Simple operation, less glue consumption, easy storage, high compliance and easy to stop flow operation; Non-flammable or explosive, no solvent, not volatile, and no public hazard when operating;
4. Pressure sensitive adhesive

Hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive, which integrates the characteristics of hot-melt adhesive and pressure-sensitive adhesive, is solvent-free, pollution-free and convenient to use. It can be applied in a molten state, and can be bonded by applying mild finger pressure after cooling and curing, and its application range is also very wide.

5, instant drying glue

Fast curing speed, high bonding strength, simple and convenient operation, strong universality and good aging resistance.

6, acrylic structural adhesive

Fast curing, high strength, initial fixation in about 5 minutes, 80% strength after 30 minutes, and maximum strength after 24 hours; Excellent resistance to acid, alkali, water and oil media, better high temperature and aging resistance, strong adhesion to metal objects, better impact strength than epoxy resin, excellent cold and heat resistance, working at -30~150℃.

7. Silicone structural adhesive

As the only "component" between curtain wall glass and aluminum alloy frame with backing, it must have fairly high tensile and shear strength, and resist repeated tensile, compressive and peeling bond strength. It should also have a high elastic modulus, which can still maintain the basic shape of its adhesive layer under the condition of high positive and negative stress, and prevent the glass from breaking due to excessive deformation.
